1st/2nd Line Service Desk Engineer required offering between £19k-£24k. To be considered for the top end of the budget it is essential you have 5 years previous Managed Service Provider experience as well as matching the skill set. The main responsibility of the 1st/2nd line engineer is to provide support within the Microsoft Operating System and Application arena along with essential general administration tasks.
The ideal candidates will have at least 3 years experience in the following areas:
·Administering & Supporting MS Windows Server 2008-2016
·Administering & Supporting Office 365
·Administering & Supporting MS Exchange 2007/2010/2016
·Networking Experience (routers, switches & firewalls)
·Network Administration & Data Backup Technologies
·General Networking Support
·Excellent proven customer service skills
Further to the above experience some of the specific technologies that will be required to be considered include:
·Virtualisation experience, preferably VMWare ESXI or HyperV
·Windows Server Domains
·Be able to configure DHCP and DNS
·SOHO routers (such as Drayteks) configuration (preferred)
Knowledge of the following will also be a bonus.
·Exposure to Connectwise Manage/ Datto RMM
The service desk is open from 7.45am – 5.30pm, therefore you must flexible to cover these times within a 40 hour working week.
